After a successful first round last October, SPARK-BIH and the Cluster of Excellence NeuroCure organized a second Design Thinking workshop in April 2022. The workshop is tailored to the needs of early career researchers that are interested to explore problem-solving tools beyond science and translate their ideas into ‘the real world’.
Participants from different scientific backgrounds came together in a two-day workshop to further develop their medical innovation. The teams used the systematic and agile Design Thinking approach to tackle complex medical problems with a focus on the user needs. During the workshop, three of seven proposed projects were further elaborated with the guidance of experienced Design Thinking coaches.
The NeuroCure/SPARK-BIH Design Thinking workshop is a powerful tool to scout early medical innovation within the NeuroCure network. The participants of the workshop have the opportunity to apply for funding for their project idea through the NeuroCure/SPARK-BIH call that will run from end of May until July 4th, 2022.
